Meet Our New Pastor – Vic Lester
We’re thrilled to welcome Vic Lester as the new pastor of Fairmount Baptist Church!
Vic and his wife, Lisa, have been part of the Hancock County community since 1999. Married for 29 years, they’ve built a life rooted in faith, family, and service. Together, they’ve raised two wonderful children—Garrett and Emily—who are now grown.
By day, Vic serves as the farm manager at Jolly Pecan Farms in Sparta, where he works alongside Lisa. By heart, he’s a devoted teacher, encourager, and servant leader. For over 25 years, Vic has been deeply involved at Sparta Baptist Church—teaching Sunday School, serving as a deacon, and leading a men’s Bible study and breakfast gathering twice a month.
Over the years, Vic has shared God’s Word as a guest speaker at many local churches, including right here at Fairmount. Now, he’s stepping into a new chapter—humbly answering God’s call to shepherd our church family as pastor.
Vic brings with him not only years of faithful ministry experience, but also a genuine love for people and a desire to help others grow deeper in their walk with Christ. We’re excited to see what God has in store for this next season at Fairmount!
To celebrate, we will have a BBQ Lunch after the service on August 24th at Johnson Pond to welcome Vic & Lisa to Fairmount. We hope you will join us!
